Most online seed banks are anonymous. A logo, a checkout page, a drop-shipper somewhere in the middle. Seeds & Clones is not that — and the difference has a name.
Seeds & Clones is a Los Angeles business founded and run by Aaron Justis, who spent 16 years building one of LA’s most recognized dispensaries before turning his full attention to genetics. The relationships behind this catalog were not made over email. They were made over a counter, over years, in person.
The Buds & Roses Years
In July 2010, Aaron took over Buds & Roses, a little-known Los Angeles storefront that had opened quietly in December 2006. Over the next 16 years he built it into one of the city’s landmark dispensaries — a shop known for carrying genetics that mattered, from breeders who mattered, before the rest of the market caught on.
For over a decade, Buds & Roses sold seeds and genetics from many of the same breeders now on this site: Humboldt Seed Company, Purple City Genetics, Equilibrium, and more. When the store closed in 2026 after nearly two decades in operation, those relationships did not close with it. They moved here.
Why That History Matters When You Buy Seeds
Genetics is a trust business. Anyone can list a strain name on a website; what you cannot fake is where the seeds actually came from. Grey-market resellers and drop-shippers trade on famous names with no line back to the breeder — no guarantee of authenticity, freshness, or that the pack is even the real release.
Sixteen years of buying genetics for a dispensary teaches you exactly which breeders stand behind their work, and it earns you something no new seed bank can buy: a direct line to them.
Picked Up in Person, Not Drop-Shipped
Maven Genetics

When the Maven Genetics lineup — including the new Prizm drop — landed at Seeds & Clones, it was picked up directly from Maven’s Los Angeles headquarters, hand to hand with one of the company’s principal owners. Cup-winning genetics, straight from the source.
Wizard Trees

Same story with the Wizard Trees Black Magic Collection: picked up in person at Wizard Trees, the LA breeder behind RS-11 and Zoap. Small-batch genetics, handled the way small-batch genetics should be.
What This Means When You Order
Every pack on this site has a verifiable chain back to its breeder. That is the whole pitch. You get authentic releases, fresh stock, domestic US shipping — and when a breeder drops something new in LA, Seeds & Clones is often holding it before most of the internet knows it exists.
